What we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account info — your email and optional display name when you create an account.
- Preferences — home base (approximate location only, never an exact address by default), weather and travel preferences you choose to save.
- Activity — saved races, alert settings, and privacy-respecting usage analytics (pages viewed, filters used, links clicked) to improve the product.
- Newsletter — your email and the page you signed up from, if you subscribe.
- Session replay — anonymized recordings of on-page behavior (navigation, clicks, scrolling) via LogRocket, with all form inputs and page text masked so no personal content is captured.
How we use it
To run your account and watchlist, send alerts and the newsletter you opted into, and to understand what's useful so we can improve. We do not sell your personal information.
Your location
Home base is stored approximately (city/ZIP-level) to provide travel context. We do not require or store your precise address by default.
Transactional emails (alerts, account) and the newsletter include a way to manage preferences or unsubscribe. Marketing email complies with applicable anti-spam rules and includes a postal address.
Your choices
You can edit your preferences, remove saved races, turn off alerts, and unsubscribe at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Session replay
To understand how the site is used and to fix problems, we use LogRocket to capture anonymized recordings of on-page behavior such as navigation, clicks, and scrolling. The recorder is configured to mask all form inputs and page text and to drop network request and response bodies, so the email addresses you type and other personal content are never recorded, and sessions are not linked to your identity. Recording runs only on the live site. Contact us if you'd prefer your sessions not be recorded.
Service providers
We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email, analytics, session replay) that process data on our behalf to operate the site.
