How we keep paid placements honest and clearly separated from editorial.
Everything paid is labeled
Any placement a sponsor or race organizer pays for is clearly marked — for example “Sponsored,” “Paid placement,” or “Featured (sponsored).” You will always be able to tell paid placements apart from our editorial coverage.
Scores stay independent
Paid placements never affect a race's Race Vacation Score.Scores are editorial and cannot be purchased. A sponsorship cannot raise a score, change a verdict, or buy coverage we don't believe in.
What sponsorship can include
- A clearly-labeled Featured Race placement on the homepage or in the newsletter.
- An enhanced, officially-attributed race profile.
- A category or collection sponsorship.
